India cricket team sensation Jasprit Bumrah has donated the shoes he wore on Day 2 at Lord’s where he bagged yet another five-wicket haul. The veteran pacer clinched his 15th Test match fifer in IND vs ENG 3rd Test, rattling the England middle and lower order batters. Bumrah’s burst on Day 2 helped India reduce England to 387 runs at the end of their 1st innings.
Bumrah donates shoes to MCC museum
As per news agency PTI, Bumrah has donated his shoes to the MCC museum following his five-wicket-haul at Lord’s.In the space of just seven balls, Bumrah removed Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Chris Woakes, reducing the hosts from 251/4 to 271/7. He eventually finished with figures of 5/74.
As Bumrah got his name on the Lord’s honours board for the first time, he equalled his India teammate Ravindra Jadeja for the most fifers for India in Tests.
The veteran pacer already has a fifer to his name in this series, having taken one in the 1st innings at Headingley, Leeds. He was then rested for the 2nd Test at Edgbaston due to workload management. However, despite his absence, the Indian bowlers managed to take 20 wickets and creating history.
Most Test wickets by Indians in England
The fifer also helped Bumrah surge past Kapil Dev to bag the most Test wickets in England. He is only behind Ishant Sharma, who bagged 48 wickets in 14 matches. Bumrah has 47 wickets, and he is all set to surpass Ishant Sharma in the IND vs ENG Lord’s Test. In England, Bumrah has four five-wicket hauls, averaging 25.43.
