La serie de pruebas de Ind vs Eng vio a varias estrellas de Inglaterra a las que les fue bastante bien y podrían ser recogidas para IPL 2026 si ingresan a la mini subasta
The recently concluded IND vs ENG series saw several England stars put up some commendable performances. Playing in typical Bazball fashion, these players could very well shine in IPL 2026, provided they choose to enter the mini-auction which will take place later this year. From Ben Stokes to Ben Duckett, there are several England stars who could come of good use to IPL teams in the next edition of the tournament. Ahead of the mini-auction, let us take a look at 3 players who could possibly be in demand in IPL 2026.
IND vs ENG: 3 England stars who could be in demand for IPL 2026
1. Ben Stokes
The England Test captain is no stranger to the IPL, having already featured in six seasons. He missed IPL 2024 due to injury and then opted to sit out of IPL 2025 in order to recover from an injury and prepare for The Ashes. In IPL, Stokes has played for Rising Pune Supergiant, RR and CSK and has 935 runs and 28 wickets to his name. The all-rounder was England’s best bowler in the IND vs ENG series, picking up 20 wickets in 4 Tests. Should he enter the IPL 2026 mini-auction, teams would surely line up to bid for the all-rounder.
2. Jamie Smith
The young wicketkeeper-batter was another standout performer for England in the IND vs ENG Test series. Smith has a decent track record in the shortest format of the game, having amassed 1484 runs from 90 T20s. Although he boasts of a better record in red-ball cricket, he is a rising star who also made his debut in ODIs and T20Is in this year. In the IND vs ENG Test series, he registered two fifties, one hundred and two forty-plus scores in 10 innings.
3. Ben Duckett
With over 5200 runs in T20s to his name, Duckett is pretty much familiar with playing in the shortest format of the game in leagues across the world. The England batter has been a part of The Hundred, Vitality Blast, PSL, BBL and Mzansi Super League in the past. While he registered for a base price of Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, he went unsold as no team was interested to bid for the England opener. However, his performance in the IND vs ENG Test series may have changed the minds of some of the franchises.
