Es más possible que Arshdeep Singh se pierda la 4ta Prueba de Ind vs Eng en Manchester, mientras que no está claro si Akash Deep está completamente en forma
In what could a blow to the Indian cricket team, Arshdeep Singh is highly unlikely to be a part of IND vs ENG 4th Test in Manchester. The southpaw sustained a cut on his hand during training earlier this week before the team’s departure to Manchester. It is pertinent to point out that despite earning his maiden call-up to the Test side, Arshdeep still hasn’t made his debut.
Arshdeep Singh out of IND vs ENG 4th Test
As per The Indian Express, Arshdeep is likely to be ruled out of the IND vs ENG 4th Test. A source informed the publication that Singh has stitches on his hand and won’t be available for the game at Old Trafford. The source added that the team will further wait and watch to figure out if he will be ready for the 5th Test.
“He has stitches on his hand and is likely won’t be available for the fourth Test match, the Indian team will see if he is ready for the fifth Test or not,” a source said.
Singh suffered an injury during training ahead of IND vs ENG 4th Test, while stopping a ball. It was confirmed by assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate, and the bowler’s hand was later strapped with a bandage.
“He took a ball, while he was bowling there, the side of the ball; he tried to stop the ball. It’s just a cut, so we have to see how bad the cut is. Obviously, the medical team is taking him to see a doctor and if he needs stitches, that is going to be important to our planning for the next few days,” Ryan ten Doeschate had said.
What about Akash Deep?
Meanwhile, the report also states that there is no clarity on Akash Deep’s availability for the 4th Test either. The pacer, who was India’s standout performer at Edgbaston, suffered a groin injury scare on Day 4 of the Lord’s Test. Akash did not bowl in the net session ahead of the team’s departure to Manchester, the report added.
