Después de la histórica victoria de la India en Edgbaston, un ex jugador de cricket indio disparó una advertencia al entrenador en jefe Gautam Gambhir mientras la serie estaba 1-1

A former Indian cricketer has fired a warning to head coach Gautam Gambhir following the team’s historic win at Edgbaston. Shubman Gill and co. defeated England by 336 runs to register their first-ever Test win at the Edgbaston on Sunday. Following the win, ex-Indian cricketer Surinder Khanna credited Shubman and the team for the win, while warning that Gambhir had just received a lifeline.

Ex-India star’s warning for Gambhir

Speaking to news agency IANS, Khanna claimed that Gambhir had gotten a lifeline after losing to New Zealand, Australia and the first Test to England. However, he said that the confidence among Gill and co. will be high from hereon, while also adding that Bumrah’s return in the Lord’s Test will be helpful for the team.

In Gambhir’s tenure we have lost against New Zealand, Australia and the first Test as well, so he has got a lifeline here. Credit goes to Shubman Gill and the team. The confidence will be high from hereon. Cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties. If we play to our potential, the results will come. Bumrah will hopefully be back, which will definitely be helpful,” Khanna said.

Khanna warned the Indian team that their T20 strategy was currently helping the side but the conditions could change anytime. He further urged the critics to give Gill a longer rope as he had just taken over the reins as captain.

Right now the weather conditions are helping India, you never know when bowling conditions can change and difficulties can arise. Our team has T20 players, with their aggressive approach. Cricket is a great humbler, but today belongs to India,” he concluded.

India will next take on England in the ENG vs IND 3rd Test that will be hosted at Lord’s from Thursday onwards.
